I believe that living simply doesn't invite misery- that taking an ethical stand doesn't mean I forfeit enjoyment in life but rather life can be lived richer knowing that my own enjoyment/happiness doesn't come at the cost of someone else's.
I believe that intentional living is a JOURNEY. It takes time and can only be achieved one decision/action at a time.
I believe that it is the small things that change a life and that many doing small things can change the world.
I'm a screw-up: my intentions don't always translate to action. I am a contradiction: I say one thing and do another. I am weak: one moment I feel unstoppable and am filled with doubt the next. I am selfish: I long to love others, but I often lack the ability to see beyond myself. I change my mind. I get discouraged. I make the same mistakes over and over.
There are others who do a MUCH better job, whose words and actions fall along the same line, who are consistent, who seem to think of everything.
And I REFUSE to leave it all up to them.
I believe I can live with my heart, LOVE big and LIVE simple- squeezing as much as I can out of life until I
LIVE.EVERY.LAST.DROP.
